ChatKeeper 2026.05.004-adventure (Adventure Build)
May 14, 2026
🤕 Heads up as of September 27, 2026
I recommend downloading ChatKeeper 2026.09.011-adventure instead of the version below.
Earlier releases can encounter errors with newer ChatGPT export formats. This Adventure Build includes the compatibility updates and adds a warning when ChatKeeper detects signs of an incomplete export.
Some ChatGPT exports are missing generated images and even entire conversation turns. This release cannot recover content missing from the export, so it would be wise to keep your older exports around. See the release notes for details and how you can help.
And feel free to send me an email for a one-time notification when a new official release is ready!
Already have ChatKeeper and just want your "Forever License"?
This is a minor update to handle setups that run in an ASCII locale with non-ASCII conversation titles. This is an unusual setup, and if that description doesn’t make sense to you, you probably don’t need to worry about it. 🙂
If you do happen to be affected by this issue, ChatKeeper will now fall back to ASCII-safe filenames instead of failing. UTF-8 environments will still preserve the original conversation titles in filenames.
